Founded in 2004 in Santa Barbara, California by Page Erickson, PhD, Celerus Diagnostics is committed to develop and commercialize innovative technological solutions, enhance the diagnostic capabilities of the anatomic pathology laboratory, provide clinicians with rapid, reliable, actionable diagnostic information and advance patient care.

After working for many years with biopsy samples from cancer patients, and understanding first-hand the needs of laboratories and pathologists who test and interpret these critical samples, Dr. Erickson determined it was necessary to create a more rapid solution to provide results in an efficient, “Continuous Flow” work environment.

The Celerus Wave™ System is six times faster than the best available system on the market today, reducing test turn-around-time from 90 minutes to 15 minutes or less, in line with the College of American Pathologists (CAP) guideline of 20-minute turn-around-time for intra-operative frozen tissue sections.

Celerus technology provides the capability to decentralize testing and move results closer to the patient for real time decision-making. These capabilities support fully integrated Cancer Patient Management, resulting in personalized medicine through linked diagnostics with therapeutics.

The Celerus Wave™ System will alter the industry status quo with the potential to simultaneously improve patient care and reduce health care costs via a more timely diagnosis and more efficient lab operation.

The Company has assembled a premier management team of accomplished industry professionals. The team has significant prior IHC start-up experience dating back to the embryonic stage of the currently available automated instruments.
