- Bringing over 25 years of pathology experience to the company, Celerus Diagnostics is the third company in the field of pathology founded by
Dr. Erickson. Most recently he acted as VP, IHC for Chemicon International, establishing and operating an IHC and molecular anatomy research facility, and introducing over 175 new products to the market. Prior to Chemicon,
Dr. Erickson co-founded QualTek Molecular Labs, Inc. providing IHC and ISH contract research services to BioPharma, BioTech, and university laboratories. He also co-founded BioTek Solutions which designed and built instrumentation and detection systems that automated IHC and ISH assays, and was successfully acquired by Ventana Medical Systems (NASDAQ: VMSI) in 1996. His previous positions include Director of the Biological Microscopy Facility and Lecturer at University of California, Santa Barbara.
He holds several patents in the area of automated IHC, ICC and ISH.
Dr. Erickson holds a BA in Cellular and Oganismal Biology, a PhD in Cell Biology, and Postdoctoral Training in Molecular Biology from the University
of California, Santa Barbara.
- MICHAEL J. SARRASIN ESQ
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER / SECRETARY
- With extensive experience in medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals, Mr. Sarrasin has been responsible for the vision and strategy regarding all aspects of regulatory, clinical, legal, and quality assurance affairs for over 18 years. Prior to joining Celerus Diagnostics, he acted as VP, Regulatory, Legal and Quality Affairs for DakoCytomation, a leading producer of biochemical products. Mr. Sarrasin's previous positions include VP, Regulatory and Legal Affairs for LySonix, Inc., Director and General Counsel, Legal and Regulatory Affairs for Whalen Biomedical, Inc. and Manager, Regulatory Affairs for PolyMedica Pharmaceuticals. He holds a BA in Biology from Harvard University and a JD in Regulatory/Corporate Law from the Massachusetts School of Law.
- MICHAEL BELL

Inspired by his work at Kelly Johnson's Skunk Works at Lockheed in the 1960's, Mr. Bell grew his passion into a career spanning four decades of prototype development. He founded Bell Machine and Design in 1981, which focused on the development of aerospace, semiconductor and biomedical devices for testing and handling. In 1995, Mr. Bell merged his company with Everman Mechanisms to form Bell-Everman, Inc., a leading motion device manufacturer dedicated to creating new products and test equipment. Prior to his work at Bell Machine and Design, Mr. Bell worked at TransMonet, McGhan Medical, and prototyped and built the final deployment assembly for the Viking Probe, which was successfully sent to Mars in 1975.
- DAVID GROSS

Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Great Pacific Capital, Mr. Gross is also an engineer and entrepreneur. Mr. Gross has worked in the aerospace, automotive, alternative energy/transportation and internet fields. He designed and produced early electric and hybrid electric passenger vehicles as well as hardware for various aerospace applications including the International Space Station, missions to Mars, and the longest rigid structure ever deployed in space. He was the founding CEO of Fastclick, a successful internet advertising company acquired by ValueClick in 2005. Mr. Gross also held CFO and COO responsibilities from inception through 2003. He led Fastclick with a total of $400K in capital raised in April of 2000 through a $75M private-equity recapitalization in September of 2004. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Mr. Gross currently serves on the board of BioIQ .

Rich Jasen is a Director in Savvian's Private Capital Group and has been assisting growth companies raise equity and debt capital for ten years. Prior to joining Savvian in 2004, he was a Vice President at SoundView Technology Group, leading the firm's west coast private equity effort. Previously, Mr. Jasen worked in corporate finance at Lehman Brothers and served as a corporate attorney with a Silicon Valley practice at Cooley Godward, advising startups and working with venture capitalists. Mr. Jasen graduated Phi Beta Kappa in business and economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and received a JD with honors from the University of Chicago Law School.

With more than 25 years of key financial experience at several high-growth corporations, Mr. Krupica is currently CFO for Altra Inc., a company focused on the development of renewable biofuels. Prior to that, he served as CFO for Fastclick, a leading online advertising technology company. At Fastclick he led finalization of its Series A funding with successful follow-on IPO and directed its contract development and due diligence which culminated in the company's sale and merger with ValueClick (VCLK) in September, 2005. Before Fastclick, Mr. Krupica was CFO for WJ Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: WJCI), a leading radio frequency semiconductors company. His previous positions include CFO for Magnetic Data Technologies LLC, CFO and Chief Operating Officer for a private equity firm, and Founder, President and CFO for a professional financial services firm. Krupica has also served in various senior financial management and audit positions at Atlantic Richfield Co., Pullman, Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Krupica is a CPA, and holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.

A Venture Partner with Great Pacific Capital, Mr. Spievak is a proven software industry executive with extensive strategic, financial, transaction and board experience at public and private companies. Mr. Spievak was most recently Chief Financial Officer at CallWave, Inc., (Nasdaq: CALL). Prior to CallWave, Mr. Spievak was a Vice President in the technology mergers and acquisitions group in Broadview International's Silicon Valley office, where he specialized in enterprise software, network infrastructure and internet services transactions. While at Broadview, Mr. Spievak led or was directly involved with successful M&A transactions and private placements of over $1.25 billion in aggregate consideration. Before joining Broadview, Mr. Spievak held product management roles with Netopia, a developer of Internet/Intranet communications products where he helped the company complete its successful IPO in 1996.
As a Venture Partner, Mr. Spievak assists Great Pacific with identifying investment opportunities and leading due diligence efforts. Mr. Spievak also assists with developing the management teams of Great Pacific portfolio companies. Mr. Spievak earned his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern and his BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mr. Spievak currently serves on the boards of Celerus Diagnostics, Communication Services, Casabi and Daedalus Real Estate Advisors, LLC.
- JAMES WHITEHEAD
- Mr. Whitehead is the founder and President of Vector Laboratories, Inc., a bioscience company established in 1976 that develops and manufactures a wide range of labeling and detection products for medical research. Vector Labs, with over 500 products, is the largest producer of lectins for glycoconjugate isolation and characterization, and provides the most sensitive and widely used detection systems for immunohistochemical applications. Vector Labs has also pioneered many novel and innovative products for immunopathology and molecular and cell biology. Previously Mr. Whitehead was assistant director of the Gastrointestinal Research Lab at the VA Hospital in San Francisco and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, UCSF. He has been involved in a variety of diverse projects including organ transplantation, kidney function, glycoprotein structure and synthesis, conversion of waste cellulose into fermentable products, artificial sweeteners and currently serves on the Boards of the Bay Area Science Fair and the Northern California Science and Humanities Symposium. Prior to a Postdoctoral position in Dr. Jonas Salk's Lab at the Salk Institute, Mr. Whitehead received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Loyola University and attended graduate schools at UCLA and UCR, where he earned a PhD in Biochemistry.
