Successful Beta Site Trials Wrapping Up
Results Prove Impressive
Santa Barbara, CA – July 7, 2008
Beta-site trials at five key hospitals and laboratories across the United States are coming to a close, and the Celerus Wave™ System has been evaluated from Florida to California with outstanding marks.
"We were confident about the speed and staining quality of the system going into the trials," said Michael Sarrasin, Chief Executive Officer of Celerus Diagnostics, "and the feedback we're receiving from the beta sites substantiates our confidence."
Capable of producing immunohistochemistry results in as little as 15 minutes, the Celerus Wave System improved laboratory workflow at each of the trial sites. With its small footprint and user-friendly interface, the Celerus Wave, and Dynamic Replenishment Technology, represent an exciting new era in histology testing.
"By reducing turnaround time and accelerating throughput in the lab, the Wave System appeals to administrators, pathologists and histotechs alike," said Sarrasin. "The patient experience is also vastly improved by reducing the time needed to wait for results."
Marc Key PhD, Chief Scientific Officer at Celerus, was equally excited about the outcome of the beta trials. "Representatives from the sites tell us the staining quality on the Celerus Wave System is equal, and often superior to results seen with other instruments and products in their labs. This is tremendously rewarding for us and we're extremely proud of the results."
In March 2008, the Wave System was introduced to the pathology world at USCAP in Denver, Colorado, and the first units will begin shipping to customers in late July.
Founded in 2004 in Santa Barbara, California, Celerus Diagnostics is committed to enhancing the diagnostic capabilities of the pathology laboratory.
